Manhattan Beach Youth Council

Manhattan Beach Youth Council

Congratulations to our Class of 2020-21. We are excited to be hosting three dynamic virtual workshops this year. Please mark your calendar with the dates below, if you haven’t already.

As a reminder, we are within the MBX umbrella of successful youth programs. We accept high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors that either live or attend school in Manhattan Beach. The application process begins in April. We are no longer affiliated with the City of Manhattan Beach. Our new name is “Manhattan Beach Youth Council”. Our transition has allowed MB Youth Council to continue to grow our program with MBX’s partnership, while continuing to bring the same dynamic speakers to our workshops to talk about a variety of careers and professions. Our goal is to continue to inspire students to pursue their interests as they consider their futures.

Please contact Laurie James at [email protected] or Laurel Wright at [email protected] with further questions.

On behalf of all volunteers at MBYC, we wish you and yours wellness and safety during these challenging times.

The Manhattan Beach Youth Council Mission:

  • Engage students with leaders in private, public and philanthropic career arenas;
  • Share the wisdom, ways and diversity of leadership;
  • Stimulate and feed curiosity and creativity; and
  • Cultivate interest in civic stewardship.
