Workshop #6: Build and Design Your Future

It’s not everyday you get to jump inside the creative mind of an Architect. They see things differently. Architects understand the engineering structure of a space, and some, like James Meyer Principal of JRM/A, dig into every detail of how the building becomes something more. All of this starts with a parcel of land, or an outdated existing structure. How do they cram it all in? The views, the materials, nature, privacy, and the large master suite. Interior Designers create the interior atmospheres based upon the architectural palette. They often work collaboratively with architects to secure a synthesis of beauty and function and some, like Ashley Ausland, are known for curating unique pieces that enhance everyday life. In this workshop, we will sit down with James and Ashley to learn about the past, present, and future of their trades and why they got started in the first place.
