Aparna is a Head Deputy with the Law Office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender.  She currently manages a team of 28 Felony Trial Attorneys at the downtown branch of her office.  Before accepting this position, she worked as a Deputy Public Defender for 25 years.  During that time, she worked in misdemeanor, juvenile and felony positions with her office.  She has tried more than 75 jury trials, and handled more than 60 juvenile adjudications.  She lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband and two children.
