Phil Wah

Phil Wah is president of Give Back Make a Difference (GBMD), an organization focused on leadership and career development.  Having a passion to help others succeed, he founded GBMD after a successful engineering career at The Boeing Company. While there, he led numerous software projects for defense and commercial programs such as the F-14, Stealth Bomber, Direct TV and GPS.  This experience was then leveraged to lead efforts that improved performance of the Satellite Business Unit. He is proud to have worked on products that protected our freedom and improved people’s lives.

Phil regularly volunteers to support local schools and organizations with career advice and fundraising activities.  He has found MBYC to be a great way to expose students to potential career opportunities. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, he attended Duke University and relocated to the South Bay in 1981.  He is married, and has a daughter and son that both attended Mira Costa High School.
