Ellen Chao

Ellen Chao has been a resident of Manhattan Beach since 2001 and has been part of Manhattan Beach Youth Council since 2015. Prior to starting her family, she worked as a high technology lender assisting venture-backed startup companies.

Ellen has been active in the Manhattan Beach education community, having served on the various PTA boards while her three children attended the MBUSD public schools, the MBEF Wine Auction, and bond Measures BB, C, and EE. Her three children are all graduates of Manhattan Beach Youth Council, and two of them are in college. She currently works as an independent college counselor assisting high school students throughout their journey.
