Student Application

We are now accepting applications for the 2024-25 class of Manhattan Beach Youth Council Students. We will be closing the applications at 80 students this year and accepting approximately 45 students. All students who complete the application will have the opportunity to interview, and we encourage applicants to apply again if they were previously declined acceptance their sophomore or junior year. 

We accept rising senior, junior and sophomore High School students who either live or attend school in Manhattan Beach. As always, we are looking for curious, engaged students who have a full understanding of what this program is about and are ready to come be an active participant.  Students who are accepted must be willing to FULLY commit to this program. We do allow 1 absence due to a conflict, otherwise you risk being asked to leave the program and will not receive credit on our website or a certificate of completion.  Volunteers and speakers put a lot of time into this program, and we don’t like to have empty seats at our workshops. It is recommended that students who participate in multiple season or year-long activities (sports, visual or performing arts, etc) with no flexibility from the coach or teacher pass on considering this program.

Workshops will meet on Wednesdays from 5:45pm-8:00pm once a month from September through April. Exact workshop dates will be posted shortly on our website. Interviews will be conducted in person on April 20th from 9am – 2pm and April 25th from 5pm – 8pm. Sign up and details to come via email.
