Steve Napolitano is a life-long Manhattan Beach resident and Mira Costa graduate. Steve is the youngest person ever elected to the City Council at the age of 26. For nearly three decades, he has played a significant role in community decision-making. He has served 17 years on the City Council including five terms as Mayor. During a 12-year break from office, due to term limits, he worked as Senior Deputy to the Los Angeles County Supervisor representing the South Bay. He returned to Council in 2017 and currently co-chairs the City’s community task force exploring how to address the history of Bruce’s Beach and the Council Subcommittee overseeing business closures and re-openings in response to COVID-19. Outside of his public service, Steve is an attorney and avid beach volleyball player.
