Mark Maruyama

Mark Maruyama recently retired from his role as Strategic Alliance Director at Netrix Global, a top IT services firm, and now advises early-stage technology companies on how to grow their revenue through optimized sales, marketing, and partnerships – especially those working with Microsoft. With over 35 years of experience in the tech industry, Mark has seen it all: from the “birth” of the Internet and early video streaming tests while working with leading research universities at IBM, to the explosive rise of e-Commerce during the dotcom boom in the 1990s, to most recently working alongside Microsoft as it has invested roughly $100 billion in the latest global technology gamechanger: Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Mark has worked with household names like Lionsgate Entertainment, Coca-Cola, Levi Strauss, In-N-Out Burgers, and his alma mater UCLA —helping them use emerging technologies to solve real business problems. Whether it’s streamlining operations with new software, safeguarding against hackers with security tools, or using AI for better decision making, Mark has experience turning data and technology into results.

Mark earned his degree in Economics and Business from UCLA, and he’s passionate about giving back. He volunteers locally in Manhattan Beach, serving as Treasurer of the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club, Technology Chair for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation’s annual Wine Auction, and Co-Chair of VetFest (an annual event recognizing Veterans).
