Duane Dier

Duane Dier is Principal & Cofounder of Strativus Group, a people-focused aerospace leadership
company formed in 2021. Strativus Group works to make aerospace engineering projects
successful by making their people successful.

Prior to founding Strativus Group, Duane’s career spanned government and commercial
satellite development & operations, from Phase A studies to disposal in orbit. Most recently,
Duane served as program manager at Millennium Space Systems for the Wide Field of View
Testbed GEO OPIR program as well as several restricted missions in emerging mission areas.

Prior to Millennium Space Systems, Duane served as Principal Engineer at DIRECTV, procuring,
launching, and operating a fleet of high-power geostationary broadcast satellites covering
nearly the entire Western Hemisphere. In this role, Duane managed satellite development
contracts with Orbital ATK (now Northrop Grumman), Space Systems Loral (now Maxar
Technologies), and Airbus Defence & Space, including ground infrastructure elements.

Duane’s career began at Boeing Satellite Systems, where he spent 10 years in roles ranging
from department management of GN&C and mission analysis engineers, systems engineering,
mission operations, integration and test, and vehicle design on commercial and government
programs.
