Carnelian Horsey is a technology leader who helps companies use data, artificial intelligence, and smart digital tools to solve real-world problems. She works with organizations across the US, specifically in the Retail space for the past four and a half years, to design modern, efficient technology systems. Her favorite part of this is that many of her customers are in turn companies she’s a customer of herself.

Carnelian didn’t start out knowing exactly what path she wanted to follow. What she did have was curiosity, a love of solving problems, and an interest in how technology shapes everyday life. Today, she uses those same passions to help businesses innovate and to mentor the next generation of tech talent.

While her path to selling technology wasn’t a traditional one, it unearthed a passion to truly help every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, which is also Microsoft’s mission statement, so she truly found her fit.

Her job shows that tech careers aren’t just about coding — they’re about asking questions, solving puzzles, and imagining what’s possible.
